John Jurgens has been solving underground infrastructure problems since the 1980’s. Working up through the ranks of field and service-related roles, he participated in the first USEPA-acknowledged successful I&I removal project in the United States, with a record 85% removal.
John has continued to provide technical expertise to engineers and agency representatives to assist solving complex technical field problems. He has authored numerous technical papers regarding the need for clear specifications, good onsite inspection, and quality workmanship in the field. John has spoken to national and international groups and in 2002 was a Keynote Speaker at the Australasian Society for Trenchless Technology (ASTT) Conference held in Sydney Australia.
In 1998, he was named a Trenchless Person of the Year by the North American Society for Trenchless Technology, where he has served as Chair of the Pipeline Rehabilitation Committee. John is also an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, where he has served as Chair of the Pipeline Infrastructure Committee Chair, and the National Association of Sewer Service Companies.
